All bundles must contain equal quantities (e.g.: bundles of 25, 50, 100), except the last bundle of a mailing for each Delivery Facility which may be smaller and is referred as the Residue bundle. Neighbourhood Mail items, including inserts and samples, must be bundled securely to prevent from breaking open during handling or while in transit to the delivery facility responsible for delivery.

For more information please consult the customer guide:
Smartmail Marketing Customer Guide

Number of bundles per container

The maximum weight of the container with enclosed bundles cannot exceed 22.7 kg (50 lbs). When using Customer-supplied containers the automatically prepared labels generated by this Order entry tool must be affixed to each container.

Container Type

Bundles are to be enclosed in a suitable container. Containers for Neighbourhood Mail mailings generally include bags or boxes. For help in determining if your container is suitable please contact a Canada Post representative at 1-800-260-7678.

Number of containers to be dropped-off

This represents the number of containers you will drop-off based on the number of Items per bundle and the number of bundles per container that you have identified. This will determine the quantity of container labels that will be automatically generated for this mailing.

Deposit Date

The date displayed is the date when you will leave your mail either directly at the Delivery Installation in question or at the Postal Delivery Outlet (Deposit Location) chosen.

Latest Start Date

This date is calculated automatically by the application and is based on a combination of the customer's selected Deposit Date and Canada Post's service standard. This date indicates the latest date when the delivery of your mailing can begin, to the end customers or recipients of this mailing.
